  Remember The Summer of Love?
SAN FRANCISCO (June 26, AP) - Chet Helms, the revered father of the 1967 Summer of Love and a music promoter who launched the career of singer Janis Joplin, has died of complications from a stroke. He was 62. Helms was the founder and manager of Big Brother and the Holding Company with Joplin as its lead singer. He was a rock-'n'-roll impresario who helped stage free concerts and "Human Be-ins" at Golden Gate Park that became the backdrop for what became known as San Francisco's Summer of Love in 1967 at the height of anti-Vietnam War sentiment." According to Mickey Hart, "There wouldn't have been a Grateful Dead without him."

Aha! Just as I've always suspected.. Scientists at the University of Genetic Idiotics in Lambsbuck, Maine have found what they believe to be the dishwashing gene. Labeled Dishraga P48, the scientists believe that it has fully developed by the 3rd year of life. In this picture we see The Dude and Son of The Dude enjoying their genetic heredity. Keep it clean, boys!

Please stop destroying land and lives!
Support this act and protect our farmers from big conglomerate law suits due to cross pollination of GMO crops! And you farmers in the beautiful town of Shelburne, VT - do you really have to plant your poison next to an organic farm? At least go where you won't destroy someone else's livelihood.
Some of us still want a choices:
1. We want natural, healthy vegetables
2. We want labeling that tells us when we are eating your "genetically modified organisms"
3. In our future, we hope to have a variety of vegetables available to us

PLEASE SAY NO TO GMO'S!

  Flowertime
Looking at this pic from last year tells me that I should get some flowers for my empty flowerboxes. Of course, if I had planted them last week they would have drowned by now! This rain that we have been having is getting pretty old! I swear they're testing out that new government weather machine to stop people from going to solar power! And how's the weather where you are?

  HOW'S THIS????
I can hear Helen all the way from here, "Yea! I win again!!" Yes you did. Are you happy now? Well, looks like I'm coming in a close second! For anybody that would like to know, Helen and I stopped by this beautiful waterfall yesterday. (Go here and here for more of the falls.) It's called McLaughlin Falls, and it's located in Mendon,VT. It's a great place to go on a hot summer day. You wouldn't believe how cool it is down there (temperature-wise). As you walk back up to your car, you can feel the sweat just starting to seep its way through your pores, and by the time you make it back, which isn't very far, you're sweating like a one-eyed pig in an overcoat! Hey! I had fun. How was your weekend?

  I CAN'T HEAR YOU!
Just a little encouragement for the blogteam! Us three bloggers have unique minds and hearts. It's a given that this would be true with most 3 people who got thrown together but I look forward to seeing how this blog evolves. We're a strange and somewhat opinionated trio!

Note to blogteam: You two are a couple of my favorite people in Vermont. Let's keep it that way, shall we?

Two Sista's and a Dude is now the blog I've High Jacked
