ISSUES - Just my opinion but issues are the struggles you have in your life (religious, political, past relationships, etc.) that you are aware of and are working on. You try to handle them, understand them, accept them, etc. And yes, your issues are yours and mines be mine! But I don't mind talking about them. It helps, in fact.

BAGGAGE - Well, this is just the crap from your past that you don't want to deal with. Instead, you just carry it around with you. It's a chip on your shoulder or a thorn in your side but for some reason it doesn't quite hit the level of being and "issue" because you just don't want deal with it and face the facts. You want to keep it. For what? Damed if I know.

1. It took me WAY too long to post this tag. Not because I'm lazy but because it took me that long to come up with 6 weird things because I actually think I'm normal.

3. Sometimes I bring my socks and underwear to the shower with me - and wash them. I use conditioner as "fabric softner".

As I sat outside drinking coffee and yes, smoking (cloves, not tobacco although I'm not real happy about it) I saw couple walking on the sidewalk. They were headed downtown I suppose. Each with a sweater on. Each carrying a jacket. I had my jacket on. It was cool outside. I couldn't help but wonder if one was waiting for the other to make the move to put it on or if they were both just really comfortable. Do we wait for approval or do we just want to please? It really got me thinking. And it's funny how here it is hours later and it is still on my mind. Just thoughts to ponder I guess.

But, it's over! Beginning a new position at work tomorrow. It's sort of a "fill-in"-"assistant" type thing. It's always good to learn new things. I'm really beginning to feel like I fit in at my place of employment. It's hard when you're a temporary employee. I guess people don't really want to get to know you too well. I imagine they see many seasonal employees come and go. I hope I don't find myself subconsciously treating seasonal employees any differently from the others I work with now that I've been hired on "permanent". The dynamics of the work environment are......confusing to me at times. It is what it is.

I think I might end up liking this space here. This blog is different from my others. It began differently and now it is evolving into something else altogether. Just like the others, it will eventually find it's place. Find it's own rhythm.
I got a little bit done on the template this morning but seem at a stand still right now. I'm stuck on the sidebar and can't seem to get it in the template where it belongs. When I look at the codes tomorrow, maybe it will hit me.
I want to let my fellow bloggers know that even though I've more or less high jacked this blog, they are still lisedt as contributors and free to post whenever they want. They can even poke at the template settings. But until I hear any objections, I will carry on!

A few months ago The Dude was already hooked on Lost and he talked me into renting the DVD's to catch up with him. It didn't take me long to watch the first season and be ready for this season's first episode which aired last night. Now, I only get 4 stations on my television and luckily for me this is one of them. It has been a while since my TV was tuned in to anything on a regular basis, the last addiction being "OZ" in which Mr. Akinnuoye-Agbaje was also a super star, but that time is back again. This is a great show and oh...............That Mr. Eko!
**It should be well noted that The Dude also has a mad TV crush on one of the characters in this show. Any guesses who it might be?

Great Idea of the Day!

About 2 years ago, we were on a cruise through the western Mediterranean aboard a Princess liner. At dinner we noticed an elderly lady sitting alone along the rail of the grand stairway in the main dining room. I also noticed that all the staff, ships officers, waiters, busboys, etc., all seemed very familiar with this lady. I asked our waiter who the lady
was, expecting to be told that she owned the line,but he said he only knew that she had been on board for the last four cruises, back-to-back.

As we left the dining room one evening I caught her eye and stopped to say hello. We chatted and I said, "I understand you've been on this ship for the last four cruises."

She replied, "Yes, that's true."

I stated, "I don't understand."

And she replied, without a pause, "It's cheaper than a nursing home."

So, there will be no nursing home in my future. When I get old and feeble, I am going to get on a Princess Cruise Ship. The average cost for a nursing home is $200 per day. I have checked on reservations on a Princess and I can get a long term discount and senior diiscounted price of $135 per day. That leaves $65 a day for:

1. Gratuities which will only be $10 per day.

2. I will have as many as 10 meals a day if I can waddle to the restaurant, or I can have room service (which means I can have breakfast-in-bed ever day of the week).
3. Princess has as many as three swimming pools, a workout room, free washers and dryers, and shows every night.

4. They have free toothpaste and razors, and free soap and shampoo.

5. They will even treat you like a customer, not a patient. An extra $5 worth of tips will have the entire staff scrambling to help you.

6. I will get to meet new people every 7 or 14 days.

7. T.V. broken? Light bulb need changing? Need to have the mattress replaced? No Problem! They will fix everything and apologize for your inconvenience.

8. Clean sheets and towels every day, and you don't even have to ask for them.
9. If you fall in the nursing home and break a hip you are on Medicare; if you fall and break a hip on the Princess ship they will upgrade you to a suite for the rest of your life.

Now hold on for the best! Do you want to see South America, the Panama Canal, Tahiti, Australia, New Zealand, Asia, or name where you want to go?

Princess will have a ship ready to go. So don't look for me in a nursing home, just call shore to ship.

PS: And don't forget, when you die, they just dump you over the side -- at no charge.

Sista's computer caught a nasty virus. It is back up and going but still maybe not up to posting so I'm doing one for the team here.
It may not come as a surprise to our regular readers, all 4 of you, that the three of us here are sometimes a little discouraged at the current state of humanity. Not only is war an issue but with the ever eroding ozone, GMO's, etc., one has to wonder how long it will be before the effects of constant pollution of air and land will finally takes it toll......for good. We are already at a point of no turning back. At least I thought so until I read this. I have unknowingly volunteered to do my part.

Well, tomorrow is DUDE'S birthday and since I won't be around to post, I thought I would do it today. The gift of pictures has always been a favorite but this, a video! My excitement cannot be fully articulated. I imagine he'll be just as pleased!

I've been trying to tell people for years that yes, I do have a brain. Now it is official. My CT scan came back and I was told that my brain is perfect! I told you guys. It did take them a while to get the results though, I hope it's big enough!

When I was in third grade I had this little witch of a teacher by the name of Mrs. Kern. She hated my guts. I think she hated me so much because I was left-handed! She would have me stay after school and make me write on the blackboard with my right hand. I was unable to do it to her liking so she decided to stand behind me and guide my right hand the way she wanted on the board. Around and around in big circles to form letters! She thought I was a witch or something, but I knew who the REAL witch was. She was as short as me and I probably could have taken her, but my parents would have been pissed! See how some things stick in your mind forever? She has scarred me for life, little bitch!

I may just have to start my Christmas Shopping!

I can think of a few people on my list that deserve a special gift like this. There's no better way to show someone just how much I really care. While I'm at it, maybe I'll send a few cases to the White House. And then.......there's a stray relative here and there who would surely appreciate it. And let's not forget the neighbor with the smelly pets. Wow, the list is growing rapidly. I hope they have bulk discounts. Better get a move on!

Yup! Dude and I headed on over to Vibes for the weekend and had a stellar time. Sista didn't come but we met her daugher, my neice, there and were able to send her a few pics with Dude's cell phone. Great music, great friends, great vibe. What more could you ask for. Well.......SISTA coulda' been there! Maybe next year!

Poor Sista Helen. First it was my computer on the fritz (how many times do you ever use that word?) now hers is down! It seems that an electrical storm just might be the culprit. That's all she can think of anyways. The computer starts, but then says something is wrong and that you should start it up in safe mode, which it doesn't want to do! So, down to the shop goes Einstein 2. Yes, she's named her computer. I haven't even named my penis and I heard that all men do that! Wow, to think that I'm not normal because I don't name my penis! Maybe I just couldn't think of a good enough name. George? Billy? Sampson? Okay, so how could I have gone so far off the track talking about Helens' computer? Sorry, Helen... Let's all hope and pray that it won't be too long before she's carressing her keyboard again. If not, she can always go over to Sista Janets. Get well soon Einstein 2. Last night I got the best surprise! My daughter went to the Tom Petty concert in Saratoga. She knew that I really would have liked to have gone. My cell phone rang and I listened to Tom Petty, and felt all the great vibes at the concert. Corinne took the time to forward me a piece of HER night out with all of her friends. When it was over she got on the phone and said "I wish you were here Mom, I Love you". I hung up the phone in awe, then cried. What a special girl.

I wandered aimlessly for weeks. I took walks and cold showers. I read magazines. I watched television. And yes, I even went so far as to take out my big 8 inches. Of course, I'm talking about my Meade 8" telescope that is. Shame on you for thinking otherwise! Without my computer up and running, I noticed a whole world out there that I totally forgot about! Not that that's a bad thing But, I'm back. I hope you all missed me as much as I missed all of you! Oh, BTW, I took that shot of Jupiter by holding my camera up to the lens of my telescope. Not too shabby,eh?

Sista wants a tat..she hasn't talked about it for a while. She goes to see Dude tonight. Meanwhile I talk to a friend that I haven't spoken to since school got out in June. My friend is a Tat fanatic...she recommends a certain tatoo parlor. I figure, what the heck, I'll call sista and let her know the scoop. When I called her she was at a tat place with Dude waiting to get a tatoo. Ya' think we have the karma or what? Amazing!

Once I crashed my hard drive and it was in the shop being dumped. I felt like I had a sick friend. Well, let's just say.......I had a sick friend! Dude's computer is in the shop so I've been trying to check in on him daily, just to be sure he is drinking plenty of fluids and getting his rest. So I'm just here today picking up the slack in his absence. Hoping for a quick diagnosis and positive prognosis.
